DR. ANTONIA LEHMANN-TOLKMITT

For more than 20 years, I have been professionally involved with issues of art and culture from a variety of perspectives. As founder and managing director of LT Fine Art Advice GmbH, I understand my role as a mediator and agent for art - as a sensitive interface between artists, art-theoretical discourse, museums and the art market.
This includes initiating and curating exhibition projects, writing texts, advising on and arranging acquisitions, evaluating estates and supervising art tours.

After graduating from the King's School Canterbury (GB), I studied media and communication sciences, English and American studies at the universities of Salzburg and Leeds. The following two years as a lecturer for Prof. Dr. Martin Roth, the exhibition director of EXPO 2000 in Hanover, introduced me to the international exhibition business with its various players from the fields of culture, science and research.

This was followed by:
Dissertation on "Presentation aesthetics of science-based and cultural-historical exhibitions in the field of tension between information, art and experience" at Paris Lodron University Salzburg.

2003 - 2005: Personal assistant to the General Director of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, Prof. Dr. Martin Roth.

2005 - end of 2006: Project coordinator of the Quadriennale 2006 for the cultural department of the state capital Düsseldorf.

2007-2017: research assistant and director at Beck & Eggeling International Fine Art, Düsseldorf/ Vienna. Collaboration on several exhibition projects and catalogues on international contemporary art, curating, building up a broad network of artists, collectors and players in the exhibition business.
Most recently project management for Heinz Mack. The Sky Over Nine Columns, which was shown in St. Moritz until April 2017 after stops in Venice, Istanbul and Valencia.

As vice-chair of the Circle of Friends of the ZERO foundation, I am responsible for the programme design.
